Origin - Native to U.S.
Other info. - This species has the smallest flowerheads of any in the genus in Missouri. The heads rarely get over 3cm broad and have 5-8 rays. A mature plant can be much larger than on the picture above, they typically reach 3-4m in height.
"microcephalus" means "small head."
