Other info. - This shrubby species is widely cultivated throughout Missouri. It can be seen along highways as well as in landscape settings. The plant grows to about 1.5m tall. This species is very cold-tolerant and requires little care. It also seems to prefer dry soil rather than wet.
There are many many many cultivars of P. fruticosa. The flowers of these plants range from white to pink but the typical flower color is yellow. The ultimate sizes of the cultivars vary also.
