Flowering - July - September.

Habitat - Rocky wooded slopes, glades, on limestone and sandstone strata.

Origin - Native to U.S.

Other info. - This species can be found in the southern 1/2 of Missouri. The plant is easy to ID in flower because of its pink flowers, elliptic to ovate leaflets, and hairy stems. When not in flower, however, the plant can be confused with other vining plants in the Fabaceae. Its hair-like stipules are a good character for a proper ID.
