Other info. - This species can be found throughout much of Missouri. The plant can be identified by its long bracts which subtend the inflorescence, its dense, spreading, beaked perigynia (which are broadest in the apical 1/2), its rough-awned pistillate scales, and its moist habitat. C. frankii is a common sedge in the habitats mentioned above.
