Habitat - Pond margins, lakes, streams, in shallow water.

Origin - Native to U.S.

Other info. - This species can be found mainly in the southern half of Missouri. The plant is easy to identify becasue of its sharply 4-angled stems and terminal spike. The plant grows along the waters edge and is rarely found deeply submerged.
