Flowering - July - October.

Habitat - Fallow fields, open disturbed areas, roadsides, railroads.

Origin - Native to the western U.S., Central and South America.

Other info. - This species can be found in scattered counties along the Missouri River and a few counties elsewhere in the state. The plant is an annual weed in our area and spreads fairly quickly in warmer climates. It grows as far north as Maine along the eastern edge of the U.S.
