Other info. - This striking species can be found in only one southeast Missouri county. The plant is easy to identify becasue of its big, blue flowers and thin, opposite leaves. T. setaceum is more common in states to the southeast.
Another species, Trichostema dichotomum L., is similar but has much broader leaves. This latter species is more common in the state.
